Understand landside access
Jewel is landside, outside the transit area. A connecting traveller must be eligible to enter Singapore and complete the relevant arrival formalities to visit. Check current requirements with the appropriate authorities and your airline. This guide does not determine anyone’s eligibility or whether a layover is long enough.
Work backwards from your next obligation
If flying onward, use your airline’s check-in, baggage and boarding guidance, not only the scheduled departure time. Leave room for terminal transfers and airport processes. There is no universal safe layover length to recommend here; choose a conservative plan and skip the visit if timing is uncertain.
Decide what happens to luggage
Ask your airline or an official luggage facility what is available and what conditions apply. Do not assume that luggage can remain unattended in a vehicle or that early check-in is available for every airline and flight. Explain your bags and travel sequence when requesting transport.
Specify the stop in an airport enquiry
State whether you want airport-to-Jewel, Jewel-to-hotel, or another sequence. Agree on the pickup point and any waiting or extra-stop charges. A standard airport transfer does not automatically include a Jewel visit, luggage storage or a chauffeur waiting while you explore.
Check the current visitor information
Opening details for individual attractions, shopping and dining can differ. Use Jewel’s official information for current access and terminal connections. Keep the plan flexible enough to respond to a delayed flight or a longer airport process without putting your next flight at risk.
Keep guiding and transport separate
